Banga is a recognized figure in the artistic world.
A former break dancer, he contributed to the rise of hip hop before devoting himself fully to graffiti, tagging prolifically on walls and subways.
He is one of the rare artists to master the freehand airbrush technique. In 1986, he joined a succession of groups, including T.R.P (The Renegade Painters) and PAW (Police Against Writerz) where he created his first fresco on the Louvre palisade.
He painted the largest graffitied wall with Kayonne (100/m6).
In 1997 he exhibited for the Cartier Foundation for the humanitarian cause, he was invited to New York by Tats Cru to decorate a college in the Bronx. The same year Banga created his own streetwear ready-to-wear brand which bears his name, and also opened his first flea market in St Ouen.
